ABOUT US

With the increasing competition in the markets in the globalizing world, the products gain importance in terms of both function and aesthetics; the concept of industrial design has also had an important place in production. The definition of industrial design as designing all kinds of products to be mass-produced and making visual and functional definitions also emphasizes the place of this branch of science in the industrial field. Computer-aided design training, which is a requirement of contemporary design, is supported by the latest-technology softwares in the Department of Industrial Design, which was established in 2000. In addition, a transition from theory to practice is provided with the help of design studios, computer laboratories and workshops. Graduates of this department receive the title of 'Industrial Designer' and can work as a freelance designer, as well as in many areas related to the design process of industrial production, such as R&D and design departments of public and private institutions and design studios.
